Technology has been an increasingly integral part of education in recent years in the form of virtual learning. Join Madeline Heredia and the Office of Kentucky Nature Preserves to discover how technology can be utilized for outdoor learning, virtual engagement, and obtaining crucial scientific data through the use of iNaturalist. This tool holds incredible power of image recognition technology to identify plants and animals and hosts a community that connects millions of scientists, naturalists, and nature enthusiasts world-wide. In this session participants will be introduced the tool, its applications, and ways to incorporate it into outdoor learning.
